This guided tour combines the discovery of the blast furnace with the visit of the City of Science. It gives you the opportunity to get an insight into the urban development of the site Belval, the City of Science and the production process of raw iron. It will allow you to understand the urban concept behind this new city quarter, as well as the operation and the conservation of the blast furnaces.
The visit starts with a brief introduction in the former industrial building known as the “massenoire”, which is now the visitor and information centre. It will then be followed by a guided tour of the quarter before climbing up to the platform to a height of 40 m (180 steps) from where you have a breathtaking view on the new quarters of Belval and its surroundings.
